Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire's Amnesty International Group's annual Tea Party takes place this month.

The event, scheduled for May 19 between 2pm and 4.30pm, will be held at Clynfyw Care Farm, Abercych, North Pembrokeshire.

Attendees can expect a plant sale, book stall, live music, a farm tour, tea, coffee and cake.

Amnesty International, a UK based non-governmental organisation with over 10 million members, focuses on campaigning for the protection of human rights worldwide.

The Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire Group's tea party is an avenue to support this cause locally.

To bolster the work of Amnesty International, Clynfyw resident, Steven Galloway, is set to partake in a 50-hour sponsored silence from 12pm on May 17 to 3pm on May 19.

He is undertaking this challenge in solidarity with those silenced due to their political beliefs.

Speaking of his impending task, Mr Galloway said: "A lot of people will be wanting to trip me up and make me speak, but I won't.

"I'm doing it".

To support Steven Galloway and Amnesty International, donations can be made at the event or through the Just Giving page.
